The person who stole the documents should be tried. If guilty of treason, he should be executed.

A charge of treason requires that the person is deliberately acting to harm their country. Since the people involved in this sincerely thought they were helping their country, and many many Americans would agree, it's not treason by any definition. It's like Jane Fonda in North Vietnam, her actions may have been stupid, offensive, odious, and what have you ... but they weren't treason.

There are crimes the Americans involved in this could be tried for, but treason isn't one of them.

If the US Government can be breached from abroad, then what about here at home. Anyway, they all talk about each other, and it still wont buy us a cup of coffee...how about leaking this: " We Plan on increasing jobs in america, We plan on bringing back the companies to america, we plan on extending the tax cut for people in this country. I havent heard a leak that I have been personally instrested in anyway.

    gun crazy much?

there is only one person, a PFC in Iraq, who stole the secrets, and he is in custody awaiting trial, and I doubt he will be shot

publishing information is not treasonous, and the person who published this information is not a US citizen, so he didn't commit treason

Why....If the secrets had been secure they'd never have known about them. Remember, any email you send is not private or confidential. If people put things in emails, they are fools, especially in government.

Politicians should remember the quotation "walls have ears".
