If you believe that God knows the future, then when you pray aren't you really asking God to change the past? Since God has seen & knows all?

If I ask for something when I pray, it's the wisdom and strength to deal with my life.
God is outside of time and space. If you think of Him in human terms, nothing makes sense. There are things you have to accept on faith, things you can never understand. If that doesn't work for you, you don't have to believe in God. He gives you that choice.

future and past are relative. God exists outside of our sense of now. It is our future that we are praying about. Also, praying isn't about asking for things, that can be part of it, yes, but It is about drawing nearer to God.
