Ok moms of preschoolers, this Q is for you..?

My son (who turned 3 in September) has been going to preschool for a few months now. A lot of the time his mouth, face , nose and clothes have food from his snack on him when I pick him up. I tend to put applesauce or a yogurt.

I can understand the clothes getting dirty, but can't they wipe off his face before I pick him up. He is in a special needs class, he has Down syndrome so he needs more attention than a typical 3 yr old when he eats. Everyone raves what a great class/teacher it is. Am I being too picky?

Update:

I had put a package of wet wipes in with his lunch a few weeks ago. I wrote on it " for Logan's face" I assumed they would leave in the lunch bag, but they took it out.

Update 2:

There are not alot of kids in the class. And Logan probaly needs the most help. He is the youngest of his classmates

No, the teachers should be doing a lot more. It should be expected that kids will get messy at snack time, but they should at least try to clean him up.

You are not being too picky. I would be the exact same way! If I were you, I would write a letter (but not a rude one) explaining that you would appreciate if they would try to clean him up a bit because it would make you feel a lot better.

no just ask them to check on it. In classes like his though they might be a little preoccupied with other students who need more help so you might want to try something else for a snack
