2007 Honda Civic Remote Entry Programming?
After installing a remote start system on my 07 Civic, my factory remote entry is no longer working... What is the programming procedure for the factory remote entry system? Any other thoughts on why this wouldn't be working?
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the response DarinK. Even with my civic engine turned off, the factory remotes do not work. They are currently not functioning under any circumstances...Any other thoughts?
Thanks again!

to program the factory remotes follow this procedure:
1) sit in the driver's seat with all of the doors closed but keep the door locks unlocked..
2) put the ignition key in the ignition. Hold the remote in your left hand.
3) turn the ignition key to the ON position so that the lights on the dash come on. (you don't have to start the engine)
4) immediately press the lock button on the remote.
5) turn the ignition key to the OFF position
6) repeat steps 4 and 5 two more times.
7) on the 4th time the doors should lock with the remote when the key is turned ON and the lock button is pressed. Leave the key ON
8) use the remote to open the doors
9) if you have a second remote, use the lock button on that remote to lock the doors and open the door locks
10) turn the ignition key OFF
the remotes should then be programmed.
Hope that helps

If you added a Honda accessory remote start, once the vehicle is started using the remote start, the key fobs are disabled. This is intentional in the design of the remote start. The only way to get the key fob to work is to use the remote start to shut down the vehicle. I have installed a few of these.
If your remotes are not working after the remote start was installed, I don't think that it is a problem of the remotes dropping programming, sounds like you may have a wiring issue.
