Can you get a flu shot and pneumonia shot at the same time?
I've been really sick for months, but I got well (temporarily, probably) three days ago, which is exactly how long you must be without a fever before you can get an effective flu shot. Well, the doctor said, "Let's sneak in these shots now before you get sick again." He gave me both the flu AND the pneumonia shot.
When I got home, my mom said that when she got the flu shot, she was told by her doctor to WAIT two weeks before getting the pneumonia shot.
WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
MAN I hope you're wrong. The doctor said it would BOOST my immune system! I can't stop getting sick!
I've had a "cold" that won't really go away. I get well, then I'm sick again. Like, I went 2 days ago now, feeling fine finally, and today I woke up with a new sore throat! I've tried disinfecting house, but no one's sick but me!

There's no big harm in doing two at once. The issue is that a vaccine TAXES your immune system. This is because the purpose of the vaccine is to put dead viruses into your body in order to force your immune system to make antibodies. Then, the antibodies are in your system for years, and this is what keeps you from catching that disease.
The reason they don't give you vaccines when you're sick is that all your immune system's resources are busy making antibodies for the REAL disease you're sick from. The doctor doesn't want to give it the extra task of making antibodies for the harmless vaccine.
Some doctors like to space out vaccines so that your immune system doesn't need to make antibodies for two vaccines at once. Also, it makes things easier to track if you have a rare bad reaction to one of the vaccines.
However, some vaccines are traditionally grouped together. There's a shot for 5 diseases at once! I think that vaccines for some diseases are more taxing to the system than those for other diseases.
Even though you've been catching a lot of illnesses in the last few months, you're probably otherwise healthy, with a strong immune system that's capable of eventually fighting off all the gems that invade it. The doctor probably judged that even though the vaccines will tax your immune system some, it will still be strong enough to fight off the next disease that enters your body.

I recall hearing vitamin C will prevent colds and flus and I've been reading that vitamin C will actually kill all viruses. Get your fruits and veggies especially in winter.

You obviously believe the POISON INJECTORS that shots will protect you from getting sick. Are you aware of all the people that got sick and also got the shots? VACCINES are not about health at all. They are about PROFIT to drug companies, nothing more. Do you think primitive man was vaccinated? He died with all his teeth in his mouth, great jaw formations, and very resistant to most diseases. 90% of all the infectious diseases vaccines were designed to eliminate were gone by the time vaccines were introduced. Small pox vaccine was only given to less than 10% of all the people in the world, yet it disappeared? The vaccine caused more small pox than the disease itself. It left the world due to better SANITATION, better PERSONAL HYGIENE, and QUARANTINING, NOT the vaccine! ! !
The POISON INJECTORS will tell you how safe the vaccines are, but then why did CONGRESS pass a law that says you CANNOT sue a drug company or a doctor if you are injured by a vaccine? Our government has paid out over $1.2 BILLION dollars (and that is B for Billion) to vaccine victims since passing that law. That's our tax dollars. Don't you think the guys making those vaccines that harmed those people should be paying for the damage?
I would like to know from your doctor how getting those shots can "Boost your immune system." That explanation would be worth paying big bucks to hear. What a complete, utter joke! ! ! POISON INJECTIONS are put into the blood stream. The antibodies cannot be cloned, do not go through the body's normal immune process and are only activated by mercury and aluminum put into the shot to do so. How does that "Boost" your immune system? It tears it down, makes you more susceptible to all the other diseases. LIES, LIES, and more LIES these guys are telling the public. When will it stop?
Doctors will tell you newborn infants need a hepatitis A & B shot at birth. THAT IS JUST STUPID. A newborn has NO IMMUNE SYSTEM! Do you know ANY baby that has been subjected to SEXUAL CONTACT? Dirty needles? That is the only reason they tried to pawn off that shot on drug addicts that they couldn't convince to get the shots, so now they are giving it to newborns.
Lunatics.
EDIT: So now the POISON INJECTORS are saying the vaccines are safe. I would like to see the literature from any drug company that shows ANY study that was done by an independent source other than them, showing vaccines are safe for pregnant women, elderly, and newborns. Just telling you they are safe is NOT GOOD SCIENCE they keep touting as their evidence. WHERE IS IT?
And then let's see ANY documentation that shows where the ANTIBODIES in the vaccines can be cloned by the human body! WHERE IS THE PROOF OF THAT?
Now show us all here how vaccinating less than 10% of the world's population stopped small pox. WHERE IS YOUR PROOF?
good luck to you

You can combine the shots. There is no increased risk and they do not become less effective.
Your mother or her doctor were misinformed.
I had the regular flu shot, the novel h1n1 flu shot, and the pneumonia vaccine at the same time last year, and I haven't had the flu or pneumonia. I got the flu shot again this year, as well, and got a TDaP booster and the meningitis vaccine at the same time.
Vaccines do not harm your immune system! They only provide it with the information to create antibodies against the illnesses you're being vaccinated against. Conspiracy theories among "natural health" types are rampant, but they are NOT true: study after study has shown that vaccines work.

"Can you get a flu shot and pneumonia shot at the same time?" -- Under normal circumstances, yes.
"I've been really sick for months, but I got well (temporarily, probably) three days ago, which is exactly how long you must be without a fever before you can get an effective flu shot" -- A flu vaccination will be effective whether or not you are sick or with fever at the time of the vaccination. The protocol is to prevent stress on the immune system and possible complications.
"When I got home, my mom said that when she got the flu shot, she was told by her doctor to WAIT two weeks before getting the pneumonia shot. WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?" -- It takes 2 weeks to develop immunity after receiving a flu vaccination. Perhaps this is her doctor's personal preference, perhaps there was a past patient with a serious reaction to one of the vaccines and there was no way to distinguish which vaccine may have caused it as they were given together, perhaps your mother has an existing condition that justifies doing it this way. Frankly, I don't know why her doctor chose to vaccinate her this way but it doesn't HAVE to be done in this way.
"MAN I hope you're wrong. The doctor said it would BOOST my immune system! I can't stop getting sick!" -- Vaccinations don't "boost" your immune system. They stimulate it but only against the antigens introduced by the vaccines. I don't know why you've "been really sick for months" and I don't know what you're sick with but these vaccines can prevent further problems for you.
