do you think that strange things are leading up to the end of the world?

well on yahoo, it says "Storm clouds create dramatic sight

Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are the subject of amazing images taken around the world."

all over the world? whoa.

also, those earthquakes in Chili and Haiti? apparently there were like over 10 more that they didn't even bother mentioning that happened within the same year all about a 7.0 or higher on the Richter scale.

i know theres a bad economy right now but this is a VERY messed up movie that probably shouldn't have been made... http://blog.movies.yahoo.com/blog/201-christmas-fa...

north korea might start a nuclear war... uh oh?

"N. Korea tensions, collapse plans revealed

Among other surprises, leaks show the regime's ties to close ally China are not what the world thought"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/as_china_nkorea_wikilea...

theres a new space/technology race that is making everyone go insane with "inventive technology sciencyness"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20101130/sc_afp/unclim...

and pretty much the mayan calender is not the only one that ends in 2012.

a bunch of other ones including a chinese version were also found to end in 2012.

how did they all copy off of each other?

im not saying 2012 is the end because alot of times people have said that "oh its Y2k just because its 2000 its going to explode" thats just illogical...

2012 is the only end of the world scenario with actual scientific evidence that some really weird stuff is going to happen and earth is going to be in a very weird place in 2012, or something like that.

so im just wondering... is 2012 the end of the world? any info?

Update:

thats an interesting way to put it, but im talking about some solid*well, "evidence-ish" that is hinting at unusual stuff happening to the world and its inhabitants.

Update 2:

wow kyle you have no rhythm... LOL

but hey, how do you KNOW what im talking about? the answer: u dont.

Did you seriously say 2012 is the only end of the world with any scientific evidence? Take out the only, and replace 'any' with 'no' and there you have it. Right off the bat, you bring up the Mayan Calendar. The Mayan Calendar does NOT say the world is going to end it 2012, this is simply when one of the cycles end. I would also like to point out that since the beginning of Earth, several of these cycles would have ended by now.

Also, there is no Chinese calendar that refers to 2012. What your referencing is a computer program based off of the Chinese I Ching. The I Ching is a book of Chinese 'divination' which means it is used to 'predict' things (In theory) through a series of hexagrams. They took this computer program, and it generated a graph, the graph was supposed to represent the activity on earth. It dropped all the way down on 2012. However, what most people forget is this SHOULD happen because the zero-date of the program was intentionally set to 2012, and it has nothing to do with any sort of prediction, it's more or less blatant misinformation.

And as for 'Nuclear War with Korea' thing, been there done that. Ever heard of the Cold War? That was a nuclear standoff between the US and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union had MUCH more nukes than North Korea.

As far as earthquakes go, in between 1901-1909, there were 15 major earthquakes. They were all above 6 on the Richter scale, six were above a 7 on the Richter scale, and four of them were above an 8.

So in short, there is nothing now to suggest that this is going to be the end of days, because all of these things are either blatant misinformation (I Ching prediction) or things we've seen before (Nuclear Standoff, Major weather, Mayan cycles). I would also like to point out that we aren't even at a nuclear standoff with North Korea yet.

    I hope I helped.

No, 2012 will not be the end of the world. It's just the end of the last calendar cycle calculated by the Mayans. They didn't get around to calculating and setting out the next cycle, because their civilization was wiped out by the Spanish. So if you're going to sit on a mountaintop on December 21, 2012, the only event you will witness is the Winter Solstice (if you live in the Northern Hemisphere), and you - and the world - will still be alive and well in 2013. Happy New Year.

I don't think so, and hope not. I heard that the Mayan calendar was off by 50-100 years. Maybe North Korea will start a nuclear war. Sometimes when people think something is going to happen, even though it wouldn't have, they make it happen by accident because they were trying to avoid it.

EVERY generation and EVERY age in human history has repeatedly had its doomsday warnings from no end of well-meaning crazies, people who just crave attention, or people who prey on others' fears for their own profit. Life goes on.

Almost every generation thinks they live in the end times, because we as creatures are paranoid of one another and our environment.
