Sid the Kid, Smack down?
Why do I want to give Sid a smackdown everytime I see him being interviewed?
There is just something about the Sid, trying hard to say the right thing and look all mature and wise while having that stupid smirk on his face.
No doubt, this guy is so into himself he can't hide it.
Yeah, I still would like to give him a smackdown.

He may rub you the wrong way but he does not seem to me to be that arrogant. Certainly not when compared to athletes like Terrell Owens or Manny Ramirez or Lebron James and countless other superstars in other sports.
Hockey players in general just seem more humble but even in hockey a guy like Sean Avery bugs me a lot more. Yes I know a lot of what Avery does is calculated for effect but at least Crosby has accomplished much to be proud of and has every reason to carry himself with confidence. Ovechkin is indeed a great player but how many cups and gold medals does he have? P K Subban is another player who better win something before he starts shooting his mouth off

It's almost fascinating to witness the quantity of subjective and irrelevant fallacious ramblings a person can place within the same sentence without even realizing that he can't cease which he, himself, critics... If you cannot appreciate a player for his qualities and a team for their playing display, well you are certainly not a hockey fan and even less a valuable analyst.

Part of me wants to say because professional athletes don't exactly speak clearly and tend to go "uh...um" and stumble a lot, but then I'm a grammar snob as well as a hockey fan.
I imagine anyone who's a fan of an Eastern Conference team that isn't the Pittsburgh Penguins feels the same way. And that he gets away with a lot of crap that someone equally talented would be penalized for.

haha yes he is so "into himself he can't hide it" but there are a lot of guys I would rather give a smackdown.

haha You all must be pissed all the time if you get mad every time Crosby scores.
You people are fools if you think he is cocky, talk to anyone from Pittsburgh that has seen/talked to him around town and they will tell you the exact opposite. you haters crack me up!!!

Wow, I guess it's hard to give a guy his due. And there IS no one "equally talented" in the league. Sorry.

Same here. I hate the fact that Canadians idolize him.. and to the guy who said he wants to smack down Ovechkin LOL I'd love to see you try. Anyways, he's trying too hard. It's almost impossible to take him seriously.
