If you have been only told orally about the pendancy, ask for official intimation of the stage of release of lands, in writing. Because they may something else if you go to court without ascertaining the actual position.
If they do not comply with written reply, apply for information on the stage of release of lands as per the allotment order, under RTI act, to the Comr of Land Reforms. If you are not satisfied with the info that is to be given in 30 days, you may write to the RTI Commissioner stating the non compliance or insufficient / vague reply etc! If you got the info stating that the matter is still pending for whatever reason, you may go to court for ordering the release of lands early.
