What does an Ontario teacher need to qualify to teach in Manitoba?

I'm having trouble finding these kinds of answers online. I know that some provinces require more schooling, but I have a three degree plus my teaching degree, one additional qualification course and an honours degree as well. I'm trying to apply to so many places that I can't afford to just blindly pay the fees to find out if I'd be eligible or not. Thanks for any help.

Update:

I should add that I did a concurrent degree, so I have teacher education courses from first, second and third year as well as my professional year.

It says your question is on malaysia yahoo answers, and if you are international I am unsure of how it works. But based on your question, what does an ontario teacher need to qualify to teach in manitoba, I think I can help you. If you have your bachelors (BA, BS, etc) from a university in ontario and your BEd as well (that would mean in your case that you did your concurrent degree in ontario, which is the 5 year program that is equivelant to 4 year undergrad, 1 year teachers, then all you need is your certificate that enables you to teach in Ontario. With your teachers certification, and especially if you have experience, you can work in Manitoba. You get a sort of probationary certificate there (its as legit as the ones who graduate from manitoba, but the only thing is you need to get hours of experience working in manitoba before a certain number of years are up or else you lose it. Once you complete those hours you have a permanent one), and then you can teach there fine.

Here is a website for the manitoba's teachers society:

    http://www.mbteach.org/

The people who are in charge of whether you can teach in manitoba or not though are the teachers certification board, which is through the manitoba government.

    http://www.edu.gov.mb.ca/

If you call either one of these contacts, they can direct you to the right person to answer your specific questions. I am graduating from an Ontario University with a BA and BEd and plan to work in Manitoba, so I just spoke to them and found all this out a few days ago. Your Undergrad (the 4 year part seperate from teaching) needs to have 120 hours worth though (which translated to ontario education means 40 semester courses or 20 full year courses, seperate from your teaching ones). Good luck

There are many jobs we don't even think about that teachers can do in the business world. But the fact is, having a college degree opens the door to many other fields of endeavor. Employers will take a chance on someone who has a degree because of their broader range of knowledge and discipline. Who would think that my son, MS physics, would work for 2 years for a chip manufacturer, then become a teacher?? Now, he's back in the "business world".

Plenty of thermal underwear or "long johns". In all seriousness, standards are a bit lower for education in Manitoba than in Ontario, you should be more than fine.
