From the Sun, what is the distance to the Galaxy's center?

From the Sun, what is the distance to the Galaxy's center?

a) about 24 light years, b) 90 light years, c) 1,000 light years, d) 2,000 Ly.

So, I thought I knew the answer to this but it wasn't one of the options. Isn't it around 32,000 light years? I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy. And I wasn't sure if the capital Ly on the 2000 meant something different.

Thanks!

None of your options are even close.

Your intuition is in the neighborhood. I believe current estimates are about 26,000 light years.
