In a charity who makes all the decisions?

Who makes the decisions?

How long does it take for them to put these to action?

What type of liability do they have?

Thanks (:

Non profits have a board of directors. This board makes the decisions. It depends on the issue how long it takes for action items to be put into place. They have limited liability, if it is a 501(c)3 non profit. Hope this helps.

  • Different people make different decisions at a charity. The board -- all volunteers -- are legally responsible for the organization, and the head of the organization, usually called the Executive Director, reports to them. But the board usually doesn't make day-to-day decisions -- the Executive Director does that, along with his or her employees or volunteers, and reports to the board on what is happening.

The Board of Trustees NO Liability except criminal

Depends on how often they meet and what type of decision is needed.
