i have a hunting question?

im new to hunting and killing deer, so what does it mean when u shoot a 12 point, so what is a point??

    that is a way of judging how big of a set of antlers the deer has.

    generally, the bigger the set of antlers the happier the hunter is.

    me, I don't really care about antler size.

    A point is like a branch on a tree. The Antlers have tines coming off the main antler also know as points. So a guy says he shot a 10 point, he shot a deer with a antlers that had a total of 10 tines coming off of it. A point is judged whether you can hang a ring on it. It matters to guys who keep track of antlers.

    It's a Hunting game, every time you take a deer you get or lose points based on the grade of deer. A buck will have positive point values and a doe will take away points unless you have reached the special doe level where you get points for the size of the doe. Winning the game is based upon the most points attained at each hunt level.

    you like to harvest deer! points are the number of points on it's rack. read a hunting mag.
