What do pink ribbons around the trees mean?
I live in a woodsy area and idk if it's a marker of some sort. I have trees in my backyard that lead to the power lines that have little pink plastic ribbons tied around them .

watch out that could be marking out your own trees for pruning as considered to close to the power lines.
in my country in past have to advise if interfering with trees on private property.
what you should do is contact the power supply company you get your power from and voice your concerns they will pass the buck and say some another company controlling the power lines etc etc
don't delay or you might come home and just find stumps where the trees are.at the moment sorry hope its not that but you did mention near to power lines

This could relate to breast cancer awareness. They have been using pink ribbons.
