Does anyone recognize this film?

I remember reading the synopsis for a film that I wanted to see. I cannot remember the name. I know that it is based on a French novel/play/movie.

There are two characters, who are probably step-siblings, and the girl makes a bet with the boy that he can't have sex with this very straight-laced girl. The stakes are high (I cannot remember them). He falls in love with the straight-laced girl. The other girl is very manipulative and the movie is very sexual, though they are only teenagers (and possibly socialites in the NYC scene).

Does anyone recognize this film/movie?

    Sounds like the remake (and inferior) version of Dangerous Liaisons called Cruel Intentions.

    Cruel Intentions (1999) , however there's several remakes of the same story..

    Les Liaisons dangereuses (1959) - France

    Uiheomhan gwangye (1970) Korea

    Dangerous Liasons (1988) - USA

    Valmont (1989) - USA

    Untold Scandal (2003) - Korea

    + 2 French TV Miniseries of Les Liaisons dangereuses (1980) & (2003)

    Then there were a couple of crappy sequels to Cruel Intentions

    They're based on the novel Les Liaisons dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos

    The original novel/movie was Dangerous Leasons with Glen Close. The newer one is Cruel Intentions

    good there's a film referred to as "Angels & Demons" with tom hanks this jogs my memory of one of the vital His Dark Materials books, however its been a whilst on the grounds that i learn them. probably The Amber Spyglass this might probably be this sort of films: Legion Constantine Gabriel
