How did tools affect the evolution of humans since the dawn of Homo sapiens?

Just basic details please.

    We may not have had tools long enough to drastically affect our physical form, but if we can use a tool it means our body doesn't have to be shaped a certain way to perform a function. If we have a weapon we can fight off predators and kill larger prey, and yet not have to be stronger or faster or have our own claws. If we learn to grow and save food we can eat all year round rather than starve for part of the year (perhaps now leading to obesity).

    I am not sure if we have found the fine bones of the hands on early hominids, but it may have encouraged the development of finer finger development rather than larger claws. As we ate food we grew or cooked or otherwise prepared, we didn't need the massive jaws. As communication became speech the mambers who had better vocalizations may have been preferred.
