So according to Democrats the bad state of the nation is still not Obama's responsibility?

In my opinion it started many many years ago and is the fault of the first president and all subsequent presidents since.

I'm sorry, but I'm tired of people putting political party names into questions like these. It isn't Obama's fault, and it wasn't Bush's. It was a collective fault of the nation that got us into this mess and all the previous messes we've been in...Be it the people and what they voted for, congressmen and/or the final decisions resting in the president's shoulders.

It has taken many many years to get into what we're into now, and no single president will ever get us out, especially when two opposing parties are all we care about. The presidents and congressmen AND the people of the United States of America need to work together, along with the coming future people, presidents and congressmen. It's so annoying how people blame each other when in fact it is all of our problems.

Well the collapse still happened on his watch. I do agree that the lack of progress in resolving the matter is Obama's fault. If he and the democrats had not spent so much time attempting to make a deal with the Republicons, we could be in the clear by now? We will never know.

You're ignoring the fact that Republicans obstruct 100% of anything Obama tries to do.

It's very possible, the mess was not created by him, he is only attempting to clean up the toxic mess that existed when he became the president.
