Yeah, just read up on his request for a release. He was being pushed great as a high-paid heel, had great work-ethic & was well over with the fans. The feud with Matt Hardy was the highlight of both their careers & it made the US title actually mean something again. I read a statement MVP made on PW Torch. He stated that he asked for the release because he wanted to go international and rebuild his character. I guess he felt he was getting stale or something. He was ok in my opinion. I especially took notice of how his in ring skills greatly improved over that short period of time cause he first debuted, he talked a million dollars worth of $hit and didn't do a damn thing, but he got real good within his first year. Nothing was really wrong with him being a face, seems like he wrestled better than when he was a heel.
