Expect the price of gas to keep on rising. Here in the US we have enjoyed the lowest price gas all along. In Europe it is considerably higher.
Congress will add $.15-.20 per gallon soon. Wouldn't be surprised to see gas at $4.50 by next summer. Price is only partially affected by price of oil - hence the record breaking profits last year. It is as much politics and corporate greed as anything, combined with the public's unwillingness to demand viable alternatives or to use less.
