cadillac crusader question?

caddy crusader marine engine w/ McCullah super on the side has marine manifolds and drive pump. I think it's from the mid 50s. Is this engine special/ valuable

    The GM 454 cid engine is still around, in marine engines, but I'm unsure of your question. Today's engines are completely different form the "McCullah Super". I'm not even sure you could recreate one if you had the parts.

    The engine has little historic value. Antique boat advocates prefer the engine that came with the boat. Yours was probably installed in a few performance boats, but who knows.

    I'd contact Crusader Marine, they are still around, and would be in the best position to give you some answers.

    No, I'm afraid it's not of any "special" value. Cadillac of course is a GM product and throughout the 50s, 60s, 70s, and on into the 80s GM Marne division was a major supplier of "Crusader" engines to ChrisCraft, Trojan, and many others...
