What should one do when the one they love has a mental disorder that will not let them believe you?
It all started about seven months ago, when I saw someone else...
My girl friend for about one yr, boarder before that, felt bad about our relationship, so I told her that I saw someone that I had known in high school, it was a one time thing and that I loved her and was going to stay with her. Ever since then she has imagined this fictitious girl friend that does not exist breaking into the house, having sex with me next to her after I have drugged her with meds and other off the wall ideas...she also feels that I let this person into the house or give her keys to get in, all bogus! She also believes that she has seen the woman a few blocks from our house and was bold enough to go and confront this person that I do not even know! She also feels that I have sex with woman at my hotel (this is where I work ) and has caused me difficulty with my work. I love her but this is killing me, what should I do?
PS She is in the county mental health facility right now and I feel like crap...she attached me with a hoe and I went to the police. They took her to the hospital I just mentioned. Should I feel like crap?
Just wanted to add that I went to the hospital also that night this all happened and got my ear glued back on literally...thanks for your help.

Wow she sounds really crazy why don't you drug her coffee? Just kidding, but theres really nothing you can do to fix her or help her she has a mental disability and theres nothing you or anyone else can do. Maybe meds would help but she has to want to get help. P.S that's not safe if she's trying to hit you with a hoe...next time it could be a chain saw?? You should feel like crap because it sounds like she causes you a lot of stress. You should feel like crap for calling the cops on her & now she's in a mental hospital but i understand she could have hurt you...but you really shouldn't be with somebody so unstable in the first place.
If i was you i would try to picture my life without her & see try to meet new people & i know you say your in love with her but love hurts! And maybe you should move on...or keep dealing with it.
