Looking nothing up (believe it or don't, matters not to me)

    Ruth 659

    Mantle 536

    Gehrig 493

    DiMaggio 361

Berra had 358, though he might have hit one during his very brief Mets tenure

    I'm sure of those.

    Jeter is around 250.

    Posada is around 235.

Rodriguez has been in NYC for seven seasons and has hit at least 30 dingers each year, so that's 210 plus.

    Mattingly hit 222.

Williams hit 287. He's probably the closest to 300 without going over.

Nettles (390 total) and Winfield (465 total) were each around for ten, eleven seasons, so it's likely they're both over 200 with the Yanx.

So... Babe, Mick, Lou, Joe D, Yogi, top five.

Second five -- educated guessing -- Bernie, Alex, Derek, Jorge, Winnie.

    ----------

Hmm... nine right, seven in sequence. I can live with that.

    Ruth had 714 homers.

Mantle was in the low 500s (I want to say 536, but that could be wrong).

Gehrig didn't make 500, but he was close, like 475.

I am surprised that DiMaggio is 4th. I thought he was only in the 300s.

    As for the other 6...

I'll say Reggie Jackson (probably around 250) is on there somewhere.

Dave Winfield probably hit around 200.

Derek Jeter only has about 250 career homers, but all as a Yankee.

Roger Maris is in the low 200s as well.

A-Rod hit most of his homers in Seattle and Texas, but he has to have at least 200 in NY.

And finally, Yogi Berra is probably on the list, since he played a long time in New York.

    How'd I do?

Can't give the order, but knowing that DiMaggio had about 360hrs as a Yankee, the next four would be

Yogi Berra - spent his entire career with Yankees, hit 250+hrs

Mattingly - Spent entire career with Yankees, I believe close to 300 Career Hrs

Posada - entire career with Yankees - north of 240 hrs

A-Rod. - A-Rod, 7 yrs with the Yanks, never less than 30hrs/season, so he's over 230 total with the Yanks.

    Close Calls:

Windfield spent 10 years (give or take) with the Yanks, so he could be in the 250 hrs range

Williams spent his entire career with the Yanks, but he was never a big power guy, so I think he hit around 200 career bombs.

    The rest were good HR hitters, but didn't spend a lot of time with the Yanks (Reggie - 77-81);

I'll go look it up, see if I'm close.

Checked myself - I would say there are a couple of surprises.
