How to stop pages from going under my Mac dock?

When I'm working in an window, the buttons at the bottom are going under my mac dock. Is there any way to make the window stop at the dock and not go below it?

Click and drag from the bottom right hand square with the diagonal lines through it. If you cannot see this you may need to click on the green radio button top left of your window first to reset the window size to your screen's maximum, then drag to suit.

The "backside dock" (which you would be able to positioned everywhere you like, actual) is controlled as follows: bypass to the apple menu at astounding left, and click "gadget possibilities". in the astounding line of the window that opens, click "dock". bypass to the tickable bins and un-tick "straight away cover and teach the dock". OR in case you're using Lion, bypass to the apple menu at astounding left, elect "dock" and the 1st merchandise in the menu that seems has the potential to modify dock hiding on and rancid.
