Boxers, help me out.?

How do I go about finding a good boxing gym? What price should I be looking to pay in terms of money? I know of only one around where I live, and its http://www.oldschoolboxinggym.com/, says $50 for unlimited classes, but working with a trainer alone or in a small group costs alot. Can you even learn anything in group classes?...

.

Update:

Yeah, I wish there was a ton, but I have search and only came up with one, and a youth center in a 50 mile radius. Ugh, group sessions for other spots, aside from group sports seem terrible. Cant really take anything serious when there is some weak 100 pound kid or a girl near you trying to shadow box....But if you guys say its ok, then I might try it out... No options, so I cant search for a gym with a known coach.

You'll learn the basics in a group class but if you ever want to compete you're gonna need private lessons. I say start out with the classes until you know enough to train on your own and can afford a coach.

There are tons of boxing gyms man. Try a session or two in a few and see which one you get a feel for?

  • You can learn in a group environment if you listen to your coach and do well, if the coach see's potential in you then he will devote more of the time helping you then the others who don't listen and have very little potential. $50.00 a month for lessons is very reasonable!!
