What kind of wiper blades to use for winter (lots of snow here, car is outdoors)?

I guess I had regular blades on...but driver's side is streaking too much>> I guess that's a sign it needs replacing? The other one is fine, but I may as well do both at the same time. I remember having those thick rubber ones at some point in time, but heard they don't clear the window very good when it rains. So now there's such a thing as wipers that "don't freeze"? Does that mean they don't stick to the windows? Will they hold up even though it's not a thick coat of rubber? Is buying the better blades worth it? Thanks for any input ;).

You need a winter wiper snow blade. The wiper blades are wrapped in a rubber seal to keep snow off the blades and the forming of ice to be removed easier.

    good luck....

Well if your not concerned too much about the price I would suggest the Heated Everblades. These wiper blades literally melt and sling the snow off your windshield almost immediately. These are all I used when I lived in Anchorage. When it comes to wiper blades, you pay for what you get.

They make a blade that has a flex rubber type coating on it and it will stop the ice

from forming on the blade... as far a streaking etc.. you will need another blade...

I saw a wiper blade sharpening device at a auto parts store.. don't know if it works..
