1994 Accord F22b1 VTEC Car won't start!?

I recently just had my engine mounts replaced, they were bad. My dad drove the car back from the garage, after also getting a new high power battery. The car was fine; he said it turned on and off fine, even tho he stalled it about 3 times, but it turned right back on with no problems.

Lately, the car does not want to start, or just has a lot of trouble starting.

So far, I've been blaming it entirely on the weather. It's cold here in Florida right now, and I'm thinking the car is too cold to start properly.

What happens is, when you hold down the clutch, turn the key, the car acts like its going to start but it seems to be spurting and choking and it just won't start. Other times, the car doesn't spurt or anything it's just that it's about to start, but dies.

Today my dad and I tried a little test, taking off my alarm system from the battery and turning it on. It had problems, so we were curious that it was the cold weather. We finally managed to get it on, and left it on for about 10 minutes. We shut it off and when we tried to turn it back on, it would not start.

I have no idea what it could possibly be... Doing my research I'm looking at the main relay, bad starter, bad ignition, bad battery(again?!) or possibly something else.

I just don't know! I'd like to know what's wrong and how to get it fixed, I've spent too much money on this car for it being my first......

Here are the car's details.

The car was originally an automatic v6 accord, and it had it's F22B2 non-VTEC swapped for F22B1, VTEC and turned manual transmission.

It has a cold air intake,

coil-overs

no catalytic converter,

straight pipe and muffler

wired completely for sound system, all the way to the trunk

weird alarm system that will make the car not even click to start if door locks are on(THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE, THIS WAS CLEARED UP FOR MY BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER)

Update:

I also must add that, the previous owner told me to give it a little gas when it's about to start and doesnt. This makes it struggle, but when it wants to it will finally turn on and rev to about 2k rpm and then go into idle.

It sounds like the infamous main relay (fuel pump relay). The first source has all the details, including a test. The second source just backs up a bit and covers all the usual causes of starting and running problems.

I would say make sure your alterrnator is fine usually people test it by taking the positive post off and seeing if the car still charging.

My car did the same thing. i couldnt start it, unless i put the car in neutral. I went to my mechanic and he said that my spark plugs werent on tight enough. So he tightened them and now my car starts normally.

Alternator, ignition control module, or starter
