    It is a very tropical plant and if found growing wild in Central America forests as well...I'm guessing because its' main colors center around the Red or Rouge colors but can be found in many colors now a days...

    A guy named Paul Ecke had a farm just north of San Diego CA where he decided to start growing this late blooming flower. The rest was aggressive marketing.

    a little girl named Maria and her brother Pablo went to see the nativity scene at her church, but they were poor and had nothing to bring as an offering. she gathered some weeds to take for decoration and on the way, they turned from green to red. it was called a miracle.
