by my avatar or user name, without even reading my post? Just curious. I don't really care. If I did I would have dozens of sock puppets and become a top contributor myself.
Also, how many give Fireball thumbs down because they think she's a nut.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups7 years agoWhat's your Hogwarts House?
If you have read the Potter books, based on the descriptions, which house do you think would be your best fit. I am sure most will put Gryfindor or Slytheryn, but be honest, most who would even consider this question are probably Hufflepuffs. Personally, I'm a Ravenclaw.

4 AnswersElections1 decade agoWould you refrain from reporting bigoted and hateful posts after listening to my appeal?
We live in a world where there is a lot a hatred. Much of it is expressed here in YA. I am often compelled to respond to various kinds of hateful, insensitive, and at times, downright ignorant questions posted here. Sometimes I will admit my responses are sarcastic, and even insulting, but I usually try to respond to bigotry with sane reasonable and factual answers.
I know that I may not ever change someone like "Little Miss Sunshine 卐", who posted the last such question I responded to. But some people who view the responses may be able to evaluate which of those are reasonable and worth noting, as I feel my response to that question was.
The deleted question was; "Culturally speaking, Why do bIacks and Mexicans ruin every neighborhood they infest?"
My reasoned response was; "There is a phenomenon called "white flight". In the early days of desegregation, when the first blacks who could afford to do so moved into a working class neighborhood, a few racists whites would immediately put their homes up for sale. The increase in the number of homes for sale in these neighborhoods lowered the overall value of the neighborhood. This provided an incentive for real estate speculators to buy up these undervalued homes and turn them into rentals.
Neighborhoods with high renter to owner occupied ratios tend to have more poverty and crime."
I can understand why someone would take offence and report such a hateful question, but in doing so, you also delete a reasoned response that not only provides information that the asker either does not have, or chooses to ignore, but also may inform a reader who may be open to considering such Ideas.
Alas, since I have quoted the offending words here, I suspect this question may be deleted also. If it is I will appeal to the YA mind police bots in Mumbai.

10 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDo you belive that Obama's health plan will include "Death Panels"?
Or do you recognize that a market driven system, like we have now, effectively does just that by encouraging insurance companies to maximize profit by insuring only the healthy and the wealthy, and conducting a bogus propaganda campaign to convince ignorant poor people to demonstrate against their own best interest?
