MtG: What matchups is Molten-Tail Masticore good against?
Molten-Tail Masticore seems to show up in a lot of Elf deck sideboards. What matchups is he brought in against?
Fast aggro? I would think that it's a bad idea against fast aggro. Boros, RDW, and WW Quest are the only fast aggro decks I know about right now, but WW Quest is generally a winnable matchup with artifact/enchantment removal, and you aren't going to win against their nut draw anyway. For RDW, I would think that Obstinate Baloth is much better. Boros is the only matchup I'd bring Masticore against. Am I wrong here?

I think he is used against both control and aggro decks. On control, after they have DOJ'd your creatures, for example, MTM will have many bullets when you cast it. On aggro decks, you can let your creatures block their attackers while MTM just shoots them repeatedly, best would be Nissa's Chosen as a bullet while Nissa Revane is on the battlefield.
He also gets to regen if he gets destroyed unless he is exiled.
