What carbs can I eat with high blood pressure?

I've been having high blood pressure the last few days, haven't had a chance to see a doctor yet - but I still need carbs. What do you suggest I eat?

The sodium thing is important. There are some foods out with less in them than others. There are things called blue label foods, which are made with very low sodium. For instance canned tomatoes.. 1 cup of canned tomatoes contains about 15 % of your daily intake.. but you can get the blue label ones that have 1%.

Exercise, getting the heart rate up for 20 to 40 minutes three or more times a week.. changes it.

There are also some breathing exercises you can do. 10 minutes a day of slow breathing. [Some combine this with meditation, which is also said to have an effect.]

Medication is not particularly effective according to some people, rather the things above are held to be important.

Carbohydrate intake has nothing whatsoever to do with your blood pressure. Exercise more, eat less sodium and get thee to a doctor ASAP - don't worry about carbs.

I don't believe that carbs have an effect on your blood pressure, they do however have an effect on your blood sugar. Blood pressure can be lowered by lowering your salt intake and good exercise. Be careful though, don't do strenuous exercise, just simple short walks will help to lower it. ***DISCLAIMER**** THIS IS NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE THIS IS MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND DO NOT CLAIM TO BE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE FOLLOWING ANY ADVICE GIVEN TO YOU BY ANYONE INCLUDING ME****

Carbs don't affect your blood pressure, my friend. Just eat a normal diet ... minus any extra salt. You don't need to add extra salt.

Sodium increases blood pressure, so pretty much anything that is lacking sodium
