What other schools were involved with Cam Newton?

I was assigned a paper on the cam newton situation in my sports ethics class and i was wondering if anybody knew what other schools aside from Mississippi State could've been involved. I read on espn that there were other schools offering money.

As far as anyone knows, NO SCHOOL offered money to Cam Newton and his family. However, what we do know is that his father ASKED FOR MONEY from Miss. St., which ultimately begs the question, why ask for money from only 1 school? Did he ask for money to attend Florida originally? And after trying to get back into Division 1A football, why ask Miss. St. for money and not Auburn?

But basically, their were only 3 schools involved. He originally enrolled at Florida, and eventually transferred to a JUCO-school, before it was expected that he was going to be expelled from Florida for academic fraud and receiving stolen property (a laptop computer). After playing at the JUCO for 1 year, he was recruited by Miss. St., in which it is now known that his father was asking for money for his son to play football. He eventually went to Auburn, who is now under both NCAA and an FBI investigation, because I don't think anyone actually believes that if his asked for money from Miss. St., then it leads one to believe that his father (or Cam himself) must have asked for money from Auburn.

According to all the news reports it was Mississippi State that was involved but he went to Auburn. According to rumors Cam Newton said there was more money there.

It was MSU and Auburn. I live in SEC country and they NEVER mentioned anyone else being a serious contender for him. Look on Rivals.com, that is where all of the recruiting stuff is that all of the radio shows in SEC country use. Down here, they talk about a "3-star offensive tackle" as if he is Tom Brady. It is so overhyped. I have been worn out on this, but from everything I've heard and read, Cecil, Cam's father told everyone who took a look at him (which normally with a kid who awas a 4 or 5 star out of HS LITERALLY CAN BE 20-25 schools) while he was at the JC that they would be looking for that money.

He was a student at Florida at one point in time, now he goes to Auburn and Mississippi State is what started all of this coverage so I think you should pretty much look into those three schools and since they all play in the same conference maybe look at the SEC as a whole. His Junior College was Blinn in Texas maybe you could see how they get him on their team.

I think Cecil the Pimp did a mass-mailing to all BCS schools. Auburn was the only one stupid (or desperate) enough to meet his price..
