What do you think of the Female Artist of the Day [56]?

FACTOIDS:
- She's from England.
- As mentioned, she was 1/3 of Mis-Teeq. She appears to have done the best out of the group solo-wise.
- Something I found interesting: Alesha, along with a group of other celebrities including Cheryl Cole (Girls Aloud), climbed Kilimanjaro for charity. The mountain isn't one of the hardest to climb, but it took them a week to get to the top. The temperature was around 0 degrees Fahrenheit near the top and oxygen levels were half of that found at sea level. Some of the team suffered from altitude sickness and of course the random aches and discomfort to be expected. It was said that Alesha particularly was in a lot of pain. They ended up raising the equivalent of about $5.5 million to help combat malaria in Tanzania.
- She participated in the 5th season of Strictly Come Dancing (the show Dancing With The Stars is based on). She and her professional dancing partner Matthew Cutler won, and so far she has the highest average score of any contestant to ever be in the show. She became a judge in the 7th season.

HOW I FOUND HER: Of course I listened to Mis-Teeq on the radio a few years ago, but I didn't become aware of her specifically til about a year or two ago thanks to Youtube.

ALBUM I RECOMMEND FIRST: I haven't heard her newest album, but I like 'The Alesha Show'.

Wow Vicky! I almost missed this you put it in polls and servs this time. I just happened to be browsing contacts and here you are. thanks for BA and the answer is the job was a studio musician job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. that's what I mostly do now is studio work for other artists I mean I create the parts but I ask for no credits (names) and I only take cash. I guess i would rather be making money from my own material but the business is the business and I am an obscure quiet person with no stage presence so that's the way it is. its really fu*cked up lol but it beats siting in an office all day and its fast money. ANYWAY! how are you? hows your new job training or what not? hope all is good.

about this artist. she sounds like a really nice person with all that fund raising and stuff. I have also learned if you suffer hard in something get over it and see others going through the same thing later your heart tends to go out for them. at least with good people with others well... the predictable heart that never thaws.

Lets Get Excited - I liked the elctropop foundation of the song but the lyrics made me a tad uncomfortable. I don't know it just seemed too sexually explicit in a metaphoric way. but its a good song.

The Boy Does Nothing - loved it.. it has a jazz swing type vibe I really like. lyrics were okay not as uncomfortable. this would be my favorite out of the 4.

Scandalous - I hit the link and it told me its been removed copyright violation.

Lipstick - blah.. I could live without it.

Scandalous did not work in my country but I did look it up and listen to it and I'm glad I did it gets a 9 in my books out of ten, and all the others get a seven thanks for the links.
