Bold and Beautiful-product placement?

The other day, Aggie was in Nick's home with bags from Macy's. (not the former character from the show) During the scene and the following one, lots of reference were made to Macy's and their online services. How do you feel about these product placements? At times the product placements can work; but this one seems stiff, like the actors seemed to be thinking, "OK, have to get these lines said so that I can earn my dollar."

Yes, when that scene first came on and I saw all those Macy's bags, I thought this is gonna be bad. It seemed very contrived.

A lot of times companies like Macy's will pay shows for product placements such as they did on The Bold and the Beautiful. Macy's isn't the only company that does it. They figure that if stars buy certain products from certain stores, then other people will buy that way too.

Yes, they did sound a bit rehearsed, they didn't have the spontaneity of the moment thing going.
