Is Evolution a product of Philosophy?
Many believe Philosophy is not Science but a mere "science play." Philosophy is born whenever there is an observation coupled with human explanation based on human reasoning, human wisdom, human experience and the scientist-philosophists' ethos. Evolution is but a product of human opinion based on supposedly "scientific" and systematic observations. This is why most people believe that evolution is science. They believe this evolution, a communicated piece of information handed down by the then called "philosophists', was purely based on facts backed-up by "mountains of evidence." But these "mountains of evidence" are but only "philosophicals." and philosophy is not science per se but a "play of science" through thoughts and reasoning. So then, evolution is a philosophical concoction cooked in Science Kitchen.
I wonder....
Philosophy is not bad itself. I wonder if some may consider philosophy means "I love to be called knowledgeable." Or in this case, "I love to be considered "learned" for I believe in evolution.

Evolution is an enabler for atheism. Evolution gives atheists a basis for explaining how life exists apart from a Creator God. Evolution denies the need for a God to be involved in the universe. Evolution is the “creation theory” for the religion of atheism. According to the Bible, the choice is clear. We can believe the Word of our omnipotent and omniscient God, or we can believe the illogically biased, “scientific” explanations of fools.

Biology Eliminates Evolution

The very word "philosophy" comes from the stem words "Love of Knowledge" . Ergo it is a great compliment to say that a belief in Evolution is a product of philosophy.
Of course, Science is the study of things. So evolution is mainly the product of scientific studies.

A hypothesis, one of the first steps in the scientific method, is made by inferring a reason for something based on scientific observations. This reason would be conceived by a human based on human experience and reasoning, with you would consider philosophy. This hypothesis is then tested and retested by experimentation using methods and referring to laws already known and proven using science. If the hypothesis is valid and true, it will be proven so because it stands up against the scientific method. Originally a hypothesis is normally based on human inference, which almost inevitably stems from what you consider philosophy. And then this hypothesis based on philosophical inference can usually be proven true or false. If a hypothesis is scientifically proven to be a fact, what does it matter if the reason for the hypothesis stemmed from philosophical reasoning?

No. Evolution is a fact based Product of Logic, Observation, Research & Study... While Philosophy (like Creationism) is more centered around Theory & Social Experiences...

You are really off track if you think evolution is merely philosophy. Evolution is backed up by scientific studies that have been proven to be factual, but in our society we do have those with overactive imaginations. The truthful fact is evolution along with the key factor of natural selection is no longer a debate but true in all forms of its aspects. The debate is over you cannot argue with a scientific fact from educated people of science.

>Many believe Philosophy is not Science but a mere "science play.
Who says that? Sources? Citations?
>Is Evolution a product of Philosophy?
No. That is why its discoveries and essays appear in science journals and books.
And if you wanted to understand the details of evolution, a university department of philosophy is probably the last place you would go to get good answers to your questions about evolution.
I have published my own fair share of articles critical of various aspects of evolution theory but your editorial is nonsense.

Evolution is based in FACTS... lots and lots and lots and lots of them
Cretinism is entirely based in MAGIC...
Talking snakes and donkeys and don't forget the talking bush.
Oh, and you don't get to tell us how to interpret language...
Philosophers had nothing to do with discovering FACTS supporting evolutionary theory.
An Index to Creationist Claims: http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/
"Creationist claims are numerous and varied, so it is often difficult to track down information on any given claim.
Plus, creationists constantly come up with new claims which need addressing.
This site attempts, as much as possible, to make it easy to find rebuttals and references from the scientific community to any and all of the various creationist claims.
It is updated frequently; see the What's New page for the latest changes."
Judge John E Jones: It is ironic that several of these individuals, who so staunchly and proudly touted their religious convictions in public, would time and again lie to cover their tracks and disguise the real purpose behind the ID Policy.
GODDIDIT is so much easier to understand... a child could parrot it... damn it, a parrot could.

a million - Evolution don't have a objective, so it may no longer "fail." 2 - "Dinosaurs" refers to an entire taxonomic order. That order changed into round for one hundred and sixty million years; man or woman species were no longer. 3 - Our fail bodies are for sure surpassed by our powerful brains. 4 - Many dinosaurs species look impressive, yet that is it. note that the truthfully descendants that they have got are the birds, lots of which we keep locked up in cages and aviaries without a concern.

What a bunch of baloney! Some people deny the historical factuality of the Holocaust, but you deny history itself! And you base your denial in playing around with words. This is a very dangerous game, and what it can lead to was the subject of George Orwell's novel "1984." Take away a person's vocabulary and history, and you take away his very mind. That is where you would lead us. The essence of your own philosophy is totalitarianism.

On a basic level it is very simple. Almost all Christian philosophies agree that micro evolution is very much real. They differ from science in that science claims that evolution is how life started on Earth. God created life but it was created to be able to adapt to its environment. Anyone who blindly refuses to accept this fact is ignorant.

it was philosophy 150 years ago...but no, now it really is jsut science. There isnt anything to speculate anymore. We know enough about genetics now that the phenomenon is very well understood and directly observable. Its no longer very relevant to philosophy.
