MicroSD Card Question RE: Transferring photos?

I have a micro SD card and I have copied photos to it. Very easy to do. However, when I pull the pictures up on my phone, only some will show up. Some will have an unknown error and some will be able for viewing but not editing. Why is that? These are just photos from my digital camera with no modifications or anything extra. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If it all helps, I have transferred music and that has been working perfectly. All the file types are the same which is why I am confused as to why this happening. I tried contacting the manufacturer but they didn't help at all

Some phones won't display or read photo files that don't have the proper filename format or if it's resolution exceeded the maximum resolution that the phone can display. Try backing up the files in a computer and take note of the filename and resolution of the photos that displays properly. The phone's photo file format always start with its first 3 or 4 characters the same(ex. SP_AXXX.jpg for Samsung, DSCXXXXX.jpg for Sony Ericsson). Do the same for the resolution, you can use office's picture manager to resize your photos. Hope it helps.
