If a recipe calls for .25 teaspoon of sea salt,can I substitute regular salt?

    The individual crystals in sea salt are larger and more irregularly-shaped than regular table salt, which gives it a different texture and feel in the mouth. However, as far as taste goes, the two can be used interchangeable.

    Yes, but use a bit less. Sea salt doesn't pack down as well as regular salt so it measures bigger. In this case, I'd use several pinches of regular salt.

    Use a similar quantity as table salt. I now no longer use table salt except contained in the salt shaker as a condiment. both Kosher Salt or Sea Salt tastes more desirable suited and the bigger crystals are a lot less quantity per degree than table salt it really is a reliable aspect. i stumble on using herbs, lemon zest, garlic, ginger and lemon juice as style enhancers a lot more desirable suited than loading up on salt.

    as far as I can tell, SALT IS SALT IS SALT! Just because some people like the sea salt and its cost, does not make it better. The main thing is to use iodized salt.

    Sea Salt is a healthier salt than your common iodized table salt.

    Yes. All salt was, at one time, sea salt.
