Vick wants to own a dog?

He should absolutely not be allowed to own a dog. He hurt and killed innocent animals. He says he is a changed man but I don't believe that for some reason. I think he just wants a dog so he can get back into dog fighting. If you average everyday citizen did this that person would likely still be sittin in jail and they wouldn't be allowed to own a dog for the rest of their lives. I don't care that he is the Eagles start QB and he plays in the NFL. Plain and simple he did the crime he should pay the time.

After his past experience with dogs I would say NO! I believe according to the judgement in his case he can't ever own a dog. But of course money does have a way of getting around things. He will probably go through his lawyer to get a new determination in the case.

I like your analogy of it being similar to giving a kid to a child molester or an alcoholic a 5th.

I wonder if there is anything in his probation that says he can't own an animal for a certain period of time. I know anywhere he goes to get one they will know who he is and most of them might not want to give/sell him a pet.

Who cares? Its none of our business. As long as he abides by the law in terms of animal abuse and doesn't slip backwards, he can have all of the dogs he wants. I think its fine. He should be able to own a dog.

Well he said he changed he might be trying to prove it, I just say keep a close eye on him and the dog.

i would not be totally against him having another dog, just not a big dog like a pitbull or doberman or anything like that. small dogs only like a yorkie, or a chihuahua.

I think it was a comment of poor taste and bad timing. I don't think he should be allowed to have a dog, it's just tacky.
