Presidents don't create jobs. Businesses do.

Why are you all about presidents creating jobs? This isn't there job, do actually know what a presidents role in the country really is? If I were to lay this in anyone's lap it would be Congress's but I'm not doing that.

Whats a hoot is both inflation and unemployment hit double digits under Carter. The term misery index was coined in his administration. Given the choice between the 2 I would prefer Bush.

As far as I can see the difference between us is simple, I actually lived under Carter and know what the situation was like. Another 4 years of that man would have seen Russian troops on the English channel and a half a million American soldiers either dead or in Soviet labor camps. His handling of the Iranian hostage crisis was a disaster, he was told by the Joint chiefs his "rescue mission" would not work, yet went ahead with it anyway. Carter was without a doubt the worst President in my lifetime.

Bush mistakenly thought that the us economy and jobs could take care of itself. He did nothing to support the economy. He did nothing to create jobs. For eight years he did nothing to support the economy. He concentrated his last years in office looking for non-existing WMDs in Iraq.

They really don't have an answer for that.

Bush Era tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% was ineffective and does not trickle down or help the Economic status quo.

He lowered the taxes on the wealthy so they didn't have to work for a profit.
