I am considering getting Freesat. My TV doesn't have a HDMI input. If I buy a freesat box with a hdmi input can I use that input to hook my laptop to the TV and have it work?

No Freesat box has an HDMI input, or any input for that matter, apart from aerial.
A Freesat HD box will have an HDMI output, to connect to a TV which has HDMI input.
To connect your computer to your TV, you will need a separate HDMI to TV converter box.

Doesent freesat have a av or scart socket you could plug you freesat box in to a scart socket on your tv
