When is the right age to "Come Out"?

I see alot of people answering "your to young(I'm 14)" and thing like that. I don't see myself with a girl ever. So if you know you are then why not come out when you are ready and know? I have came out to about 5 friends slowly since about April. A couple found out by look at my texts. And some more are in that "Suspicion" stage. And i came out first when I was 13 to my bestfriend. Was that to early?

I came out when I was 13 I'm 26 now and last time I checked I'm still gay lol..I would say it largely depends on how you feel about it and whether your willing to go through all of the drama and rejection from friends and family and if you're in a safe environment to come out etc. I don't think there is a "right age" to come out. It's all up to you. But I think the sooner the better, at least it was for me anyway, living with secret can eat you alive and I'm glad to have gotten it done and over with. I couldn't stand the thought of not coming out any later than I did.

Coming out is a very hard thing to do especially if the people in your life believe it is wrong to be gay or a lesbian! I think that the right age to "Come Out" is when you truly know that you are gay/lesbian. There is no right or wrong age. I was 19 when I came out and I only waited that long because I was afraid of what my family would think of me! Some people will say you are too young to know your sexuality and some will say it is a phase, but if you know in your heart that you are gay then you should come out when you are ready and comfortable with your sexuality! Good luck on your journey! I am not saying it is going to be an easy one, but once you know for sure and you come out, I promise the journey will get easier and better. Or at least it has for me!

Age shouldn't matter. If you're absolutely sure about yourself and you're willing to risk loosing certain things in your life, then you can come out.

I find that being at an age of independence is a better time to come out. But that depends on the person's life and situation he or she's in. Really, the earlier you come out, the better.

Congrats for coming out at such a young age! I knew about myself when I was 13 but I was afraid or rejection at the time. I'm quite proud of you for being so brave!

That's just stupid. I'm 14 and I came out to my mom a couple months ago, you know from birth when you're gay. I never liked girls.

It's really the age but the time and the best time is when you are no lower dependent on your parents or live under their roof

When the benefits of doing so outweigh the disadvantages of doing so; when the truth of being you is at stake (in a sense); when it matters more to you to be self-declared than not.

If you're sure, you're sure. There is no 'gay code' or 'coming out guidelines'. Only you know what is best for yourself.

you should come out whenever you feel comfortable to , but adutls might say its only a phrase
