Using Windows 7 twice?

So I bought windows 7 for a comp. running windows vista, and installed it ect. It has since broken, and I have decided to reinstall it using windows vista (as it is very slow anyway), Can I now install my legit copy of windows 7 onto my macbook pro using bootcamp, or will microsoft not allow this (registration/cd key) to be installed again, even though it will only be in use on 1 machine at a time.

thanks

There is a limit as to how many times you can move a Windows operating system program from machine to machine but it is more then once. You should be fine. If you do have a problem doing it, you can call Microsoft's customer service and they'll tell you how to complete the install.

It depends on if you have a retail copy, or an oem copy. Retail allows you to install to any machine as long as it is your own. OEM can only be installed to one machine...and that's it. The reason these exist is because they are cheaper than retail distributions, and appeal to many shoppers of wholesalers such as newegg, or amazon.

domicile windows activation keys will turn on both the 32-bit or the sixty 4-little bit of the very similar version they are linked with. yet an aftermarket version might want to stay on the first motherboard it develop into first put in or activated with.

interesting question, i'm not sure if its within their terms of use, but they might not notice, hard to say.

As far as my point of view, it SHOULD be one machine at a time, but i have no way of knowing if this world is sane anymore.
