    2(a-1)=b(1-2a)

    2a-2=b-2ab

    2a+2ab=b+2

    a(2+2b)=b+2

    a=b+2/2+2b

    First multiply the term (a - 1) by 2 we get 2a - 2. Do the same for the right side of the equality, we have b - 2ab. Since the subject is A, this means that A must stay in the left or right side of the equation by itself. A a rule, the subject is always placed on the left side of the equality. Using this procedure we, get 2a - 2 = b - 2ab. In order to eliminate -2 from the left, we should add its additive inverse which is +2. And in order to maintain the equality, we should add or subtract whatever we placed on the left side to the right. Thus, we have, 2a -2 + 2 = b - 2ab + 2. This gives us 2a = b - 2ab + 2. Now the equation is simpler. We now collect all terms with A in it. Thus we have 2a + 2ab = 2 - b. Notice the rearrangement of the terms with positive terms being written first. Then, 2a(1 + b) = 2 - b. And doing the same procedure, we obtain 2a = (2 - b)/(1 + b). Finally dividing both sides by 2 yields

    a = (2 - b)/2(1 + b) which is the final answer. Okay?

    OK

    2(a-1) = b(1-2a)

    2a - 2 = b - 2ab

    the next thing you need to do is get all the "a"s on the left hand side of the equals sign and all the "b"s on the right hand side of the equals sign.

    2a + 2ab = b + 2

    a(2 + 2b) = b + 2

    a = (b + 2) / (2 + 2b)

    a = (b + 2) / (2(1 + b))

    a = (2 + b)/(2 (1 + b))

    Expand

    2a - 2 = b - 2ab

    Add (2ab + 2) to both sides

    a(2b + 2) = b + 2

    Divide both sides by (2b + 2)

    a = 2 + b / 2 + 2b
