I own an LG-BD550 bluray player, just updated the software and now there's no sound?

I did it via ethernet cable. The player turned off after the update, as it usually does. After trying another software update it says it's already up to date, but it no longer has sound? The picture is still perfect.

Anyone else with this problem or no how to fix it?

Update:

I've tested out the HDMI cable with my Xbox and it transfers sound flawlessly so I know it's not a faulty HDMI cable.

Hi illuminated....just a suggestion for you....once you had the software updated and you say you have no sound....It maybe that the sound may of been reset to a default setting....so get into your blu ray menu (audio set up) see if anything has been altered or not on the appropriate audio setting...if your using a hdmi cable, you should have the setting set to hdmi.......merry xmas.
