I've been dating my girlfriend (let's call her A) for a little over 4 months now. She was in a long-term, abusive relationship with her ex (let's call him Good-for-nothing d-bag), where he kicked, punched, hit, pushed, and threatened her for several years. She was terrified of him coming after her if she were to leave, so that's why she stayed for so long. After finding out that he cheated on her multiple times, she finally stood up for himself and kicked him to the curb.

Fast-forward to recently: he was still calling her threatening her on the phone when he found out from someone else that she has a new boyfriend. I told her to get a restraining order, and she did. After he inevitably violated that restraining order, I contacted the police and she was able to file a report, ultimately ending in his arrest and conviction for which he's serving a year's sentence.

Now he's still calling her friends from, what I would imagine is a cell phone snuck-in to the jail. Somehow he got her new home number and called 28 times last night from a private number where he'd breathe on the phone and hang up sometimes, before finally saying "b****" and hanging up.

What should I do about this? He can't be charged again for the same crime, so should I see what we can do about a stalking charge? And if so, how do we prove it's him if the calls are from a blocked number?

I served 4 years in the USAF and separated last fall, right before attending a semester of school. Then I moved down to Tampa, and saw that I owed the VA some Education money (a small amount) from when I dropped/switched classes near the beginning of the semester. By the time I was notified of the debt (the letters were being sent to my old address), it had been forwarded to the US Treasury for collection. It's since been paid off.

I'm worried now that I'm transferring my benefits to a new school - even though my debt has been paid in full, could that mean I can't claim any GI Bill benefits anymore? I'm utilizing the Post-9/11 GI Bill and I am still in my entitlement window.

Any educated information (not guesses) would be greatly appreciated. Also, please keep any judgements you may have to yourself since you do not know the whole story.

Recently my wife and my debit card was compromised and used to spend $5,000 in NYC. These were all unauthorized purchases and our bank has completed the investigation before reaching the same conclusion. Weeks have passed and they've claimed on several occasions over the phone and via email that a check was in the mail or that the funds would be transferred within 48 hours... lie after lie after lie. It's now been over a month and we've hired an attorney.

I'm worried the bank could delete the recordings to protect themselves in court. Is that a realistic possibility and if so is it illegal?

Keep in mind, Verlander is on the mound for Detroit tonight. He's the best ace in the postseason in my opinion, but he's not unbeatable. I say load the lineup with lefties, with batters that have a history of being able to hit off of him.

I had to walk home from campus two days ago in -15 wind chill weather, and my hand was uncovered for most of it (other than being in my pockets some of the walk). The back of my left hand has felt like it's asleep ever since. Do you know what could be the cause of this or how to help resolve the problem? I'm growing concerned...

Whenever she does something that gets under my skin, she never even bothers to ask me what's upsetting me. She just says "well it's obvious I did something to piss you off so I guess I'll just leave you alone." When I do insist we talk about it, she never wants to. She'd rather "bury" problems than deal with them head on and put them behind us. What should I do? I've told her this countless times and I'd really like her to respect me enough to take my concerns seriously.

We've been broken up for a couple months because of the distance and because she wanted to focus more on her degree. She finishes college in May. I'm visiting her later this month. We both have feelings for each other, still text everyday, all day, and even still tell each other "I love you". We are best friends.

We both miss the emotional/physical side of our relationship though, so when we see each other we'll be sleeping in the same bed again, kissing and most likely have sex. She's scared about how it's going to effect us... perhaps making it harder to not be a couple. I'm biased when it comes to this situation because I want to be with her again. She just doesn't want a relationship at this moment, despite her feelings for me.

So what do you think are the pros and cons to having sex with your ex, if you're both mutually attracted to one another (including sexually), still have feelings for each other and still love each other? Curious to hear your thoughts.

I did it via ethernet cable. The player turned off after the update, as it usually does. After trying another software update it says it's already up to date, but it no longer has sound? The picture is still perfect.

My now ex-girlfriend is 24, I'm 21.

Before we started talking 8 months ago, she had gotten out of a 2-year relationship with a real scumbag. It took her awhile, understandably, to open up to me about things and for us to consider starting a relationship together. Things were going well for 5 months into our relationship until she ultimately realized that she hasn't been single for an extended period of time since she was 14, and so she hasn't really gotten to experience life on her own. She's always had self-esteem issues and had depression because of those insecurities, despite how much she said I helped her feel a lot better about herself and everything.

Like I said, things were going well, despite our normal occasional arguments. Today she dropped this bomb on me that she wanted time to finish school and enjoy being alone for awhile so she can try and be happy with herself before being in a relationship with someone else. It makes sense, considering you need to make yourself happy before you can make someone else happy. I told her that after all we've shared and how well we know each other, I couldn't just "be friends" with her. It'd hurt too much. She started crying and said that she couldn't deal with not having me in her life. She said I'm her best friend and know more about her than anyone else, so she wouldn't know what to do if I just left her life completely.

I want to be with her so bad, and we still talk just as much as we did when we were a couple. She still tells me she loves me and is always apologizing for this whole thing. She says that she doesn't know what the future will hold but for now she thinks it's better if we remain friends. I brought up that girls often use the "I need to find myself" excuse when they've fallen out of love and/or want to explore their options. She promised me she doesn't want a relationship at all right now, and if she did she couldn't picture it with anyone else but me.

So here's the question: should I continue being friends with her even though it hurts? I know I shouldn't have to wait for her, but she's really the only person I want and can't imagine anyone else being as perfect for me as she is. I want her to be able to find happiness within herself, but I still am hoping she'll realize she can do that while she's with me :/
