My girlfriend's ex is stalking her from jail?

I've been dating my girlfriend (let's call her A) for a little over 4 months now. She was in a long-term, abusive relationship with her ex (let's call him Good-for-nothing d-bag), where he kicked, punched, hit, pushed, and threatened her for several years. She was terrified of him coming after her if she were to leave, so that's why she stayed for so long. After finding out that he cheated on her multiple times, she finally stood up for himself and kicked him to the curb.

Fast-forward to recently: he was still calling her threatening her on the phone when he found out from someone else that she has a new boyfriend. I told her to get a restraining order, and she did. After he inevitably violated that restraining order, I contacted the police and she was able to file a report, ultimately ending in his arrest and conviction for which he's serving a year's sentence.

Now he's still calling her friends from, what I would imagine is a cell phone snuck-in to the jail. Somehow he got her new home number and called 28 times last night from a private number where he'd breathe on the phone and hang up sometimes, before finally saying "b****" and hanging up.

What should I do about this? He can't be charged again for the same crime, so should I see what we can do about a stalking charge? And if so, how do we prove it's him if the calls are from a blocked number?

Thanks for your help in advance.

For reference, the state laws that would affect him are Maryland's.

This is unusual because stalkers and ex abusive Bf's usually stop when a new man enters the woman's life. He sounds obsessive and disturbed. If this turns into a really dangerous situation I would think about moving to a new location and again change the phone number. Also since he calls her friends she should not tell anyone her new number. She should call them on another phone for six or seven months to be safe. Someone is in her circle of friends who is betraying her trust and telling him things they should not be telling him. This is why I would have her not call her friends from the new number. If things get very dangerous she might have to change her last name. If he has her circle of friends phone numbers and has a cellphone in his cell...maybe he joined a prison gang. So this would make him more dangerous when he gets out. Try the phone change and don't tell her friends the new number. She can meet them and call them from someone else's number until you and her can pinpoint the traitor then eliminate the person from her life. This might stop him from finding her as well.

If anyone tells you to act like you're happy without her, don't. If you want her back you need to grovel.

Do something romantic. Nobody does that anymore. Leave flowers at her door. Write her a letter, and put it in her mailbox or with the flowers or something.

If you really love her that much, get her back.

I would say other than just pouring your heart out, all you can do is move on. But don't ignore her, don't put on a front... Or you will never have her back.

No guarantee that grovelling will work, but if you really want her, and you're already unhappy what else could go wrong? You don't have anything to lose.

I grovelled to a guy I loved. We were in so deep that we nearly hated each other. I grovelled so hard that I was crying. And we were together for maybe a week or two, and then he left town. Life's cruel.

But you have to live the heck out of it. The things that you will remember are the things you pour your heart and soul into.

Yes, call the police. For one, if he has contraband, which is what a cell phone is in jail when it is snuck in. They will perform a search right away of his cell, and possibly others on his block. He will be punished, as it is against federal law, and he will have additional time added to his sentence for the violation.

If they can get him with the phone, and access activity, this would also add additional charges, and further lengthening his time depending on what restrictions he is placed on in the restraining order, if this restraining order included no contact by phone, then he has violated the restraining order again, and will be punished for it. Having the proof on this smuggled phone that he called "A" then a stalker claim can also be easier to proceed with, and this will encourage guilelessness and restrictions placed on him legally that he must follow concerning "A" once released that goes beyond restrictions covered in basic restraining orders since stalking behavior has occurred, these restrictions generally last a lifetime in stalker cases, depending on your state's criminal stalker regulations.

Discover how to get your ex back with simple text message: http://getyourexback.checkhere.info/

Many girls break up with their significant others, is because they need time to figure things out. Don't take it personally, if you want her back, you have to show her you can help her. If you love her then you'll let her go, that's it. Not everybody who you date in high school you end up staying with, the chances are extremely unlikely. So if she doesn't want to, then you need to let her go.

Contact the police. They will make sure the stalking stops while he is in jail, and they will charge him again.

When we say that the Constitution does not allow you to be tried twice for the same crime, we mean that you cannot be tried twice for one criminal act. If he commits another criminal act that is a violation of the same law, he can indeed be tried again.

This is a joke. Some how he got her new number. It would appear she is still connected in his world and probably not so innocent either. Don't expect the courts to go running around trying to save some hoody from the hood.

Why can't he be charged for the same crime? If you do the same crime twice you can be charged for it two times. Report it to the police and they can advise you on what to do.
