I thought that as long as you repented and possible went to confession and did hail mary's and stuff it was all good.

Doesn't the bible say that even if you murder someone as long as you repent and love Jesus you can still get into heaven wasn't Jesus all about forgiveness and what not.

Also who would want to go to that kind of heaven anyway lol my god what a downer place to be!

My answer to this is what has God or Jesus got to do with any errors you have made. Their names should only be used in prayer. Any mistakes made by us are our own and not because of God or Jesus. Call yourself a jackass instead it would be better. God bless you.

This verse from the Padma Purana is included in the Hari-bhakti-vilasa (11.289) by Sanatana Gosvami. Therein srila Sanatana Gosvami gives the following explanation:

This means that if one somehow or other hears, utters or remembers the holy name, or if it catches his mind while coming near his ears, that holy name, even if vibrated in separate words, will act.

The holy name has so much spiritual potency that it can deliver one from all sinful reactions and material entanglements, but utterance of the holy name will not be very soon fruitful if done to facilitate sinning.
