A. The British had the advantage of a large professional army that was one of the finest in the world. It's primary problem is that it is hard to fight an idea with bullets. The primary objective was to destroy Washington's army to insure that there was no opposition, but the ultimate enemy for them was an idea, not an army.
B. America's best advantage was their cause. Close to home, and patriotic, Americans had a greater reason to fight the war. However, their lack of professional training hurt them badly in nearly every fight.
C. Ultimately, the Rebels won because they were aided by the French. France smuggled supplies to the Continental Army, and various volunteers joined the army long before Saratoga. And when France joined the war, the drew British strength away from America. Without the foreign aid from France, the Revolution eventually would have been crushed.
