If I stay up late to watch the lunar eclipse and I am late the next day for work do I have a legimate excuse?i?

    Seeing as the lunar eclipse doesn't happen till 6.30 am, unless you start work at 6:30 you shouldn't be too late.

    What you do on your off time is your business - but it should not affect your work performance.

    Of course, why not? "Hung-over" is a legitimate excuse but "fascinating astronomical wonder" isn't?
