How much time do I have now before they freeze my bank account ?

the debt collector has a judgment against me , I am on societal security , I was only given 1 1/2 day notice by my former attorney before he quit. this is all the money that I have. The debt collector can

not garnish SSI but they can freeze the bank account.

I think I need to close this account and take the account somewhere else , what to do , help please.

I am not well.

Update:

I should have said it was filled in county court against me, and was only for $1893..

my attorney quit , after only one continuous , I gave him what he ask for , he says now , that he needs more money...he told me one payment to hin ,was enough.

You need to be absolutely sure they can freeze your account. Unless this judgment was state or federal, like the IRS, they can't touch your account. Otherwise, a judgment simply goes on record at the courthouse of the county in which it was filed.

If they can freeze your account, it doesn't matter where you go. They will follow.

It can come really fast....like overnight. If you have any significant amount of cash, then you should pull this out asap and put the money in a safe.

taking the acc elsewhere is not going to be that easy once ur acc is frozen you have just enter chexsystems which will not allow you to maintain an acc until the freeze is lifted

Just don't deposit your SSI into that account.

The money may already be gone.
