how to get a 6v power supply down to 3v?

hey so i want to light a little 3v LED light with a power supply coming from the wall. i have a 6v remote control car charger that i can plug into the wall. its input is AC 120v 60Hz and 4.5w. Its output is DC 6v 200mA. if it helps, it's supposed to charge a Ni-Cd battery. thanks!

You would need to fit a voltage regulator to this or you risk blowing the LED. Not for amateurs.
