What is the process of a parent giving up their rights to a child? ?

If I wanted my ex to give up his rights to our child and he refuses, what could I do about it? I don't need his financial or physical support. Nor do I want him emotionally involved with my child. Is there any way to force him to sign over his rights? I mean, he pays child support for 6 other children already. I'm not wanting child support at all. Serious Answers Only Please. Thanks In Advance

Depends on your state. Here in Texas I am sorry to say that if he is not abusing them there is NO way.

Unless he has done something so physically heinous, that the courts order him to sign over his rights, you cannot force the court's hand on it.

Just what we need is another child growing up fatherless to contribute to 85% of crime.
